Luxurious Forest Spa Muhu Style - WUUD Stay Pädaste
Traveling to the Estonian islands always brings a unique sense of tranquility, so the idea of a mini-vacation on Muhu Island came at just the right time. And even more comfortable - just 8 minutes away from Kuivastu Harbor, a private and luxuriously bright WUUD Stay holiday house awaited us, which is like a forest spa for two.
As mentioned before, the WUUD Stay holiday house accommodates up to two guests and has everything needed for a cozy stay and more.
The open-plan house features a wide bed, a stylish lounge area decorated with the creations of Marita Liivak, and a coffee table. If desired, you can also watch TV from there, but it will undoubtedly have tough competition from the beautiful view of Muhu pine forest. On the right side, there's a small kitchenette equipped with a fridge, stove, coffee machine, and basic utensils for cooking, although we recommend leaving that responsibility to the outdoor grill instead :)
Next to the kitchen, a sliding door leads to a very beautiful and striking bathroom, which includes a shower area, but the main attraction is undoubtedly the luxuriously large bathtub with a view of the forest.
From the living room, you can step directly onto the terrace, where two sun loungers await for enjoying the fresh air and an outdoor hot tub, along with a small table and chairs. This quickly became our favorite spot for having coffee and meals in the open air.
The terrace is spacious and leads to the sauna building, which also features a sitting area. Inside awaits what is probably the most stylish sauna we have ever encountered.
And how convenient - you can turn on the sauna with a button and connect your own Spotify playlist via Bluetooth. Then, you can comfortably enjoy the beautiful view and the heat of the sauna.
Muhu Island always feels great, and everything is within a short distance - the nearest shops and cafes are just a 10-minute drive away. On the second morning, we decided to explore the latest spots and discovered a new favorite cafe on Muhu Island - Muhu Pariis.
The cheerful and friendly service was so delightful, and the almond croissant was simply superb. We jokingly said that it's a separate reason to visit Muhu Island.
In the evening, we fired up the grill, made a salad, and simply enjoyed the refreshing peace and quiet that Muhu's nature offers.
But that's not all! After dinner, we wandered around the house and discussed the unique appearance of some trees when I noticed a furry back moving towards me through the tall grass. I gestured to Ben to be quiet, and we stood still, waiting to see who it was. On the positive side - I'm glad I had my camera with me.
On the negative side, after taking this picture, the camera battery decided to call it quits, so we could only marvel with mouths agape at our first encounter with a badger.
And yes, it came and showed itself to us in all its glory! The three of us stared at each other for a few minutes, blinking nervously to make it feel as safe as possible. But after a couple of minutes, it decided that the situation seemed suspicious and turned around, calmly scurrying back into the bushes to attend to its badger business.
We had never even dreamed that we could encounter a badger in the wild - it seemed like something reserved for professional nature photographers in the early morning. And this badger was much smaller than we thought badgers would be! A youngster, perhaps.
In any case, this was the most memorable moment of the summer, and this encounter makes us believe that WUUD Stay is the ideal holiday house for nature photographers as you frequently encounter animals here!
What else to do? Continuing on the topic of animals, we highly recommend visiting the Muhu Ostrich Farm, which is essentially a very pleasant animal park and is only a 15-minute drive away. Here, you can meet some very exotic animals that you wouldn't expect to find on Muhu Island, such as kangaroos and zebras :)
For those who love an active vacation, we suggest checking out the Muhu Adventure Park, which is also just a 12-minute drive away. And the park offers something new - night climbing! A really cool idea to experience those never-ending summer nights in a completely new way.
I must also emphasize that simply driving around, exploring, and walking on Muhu Island is an experience in itself and makes for a wonderful vacation!
WUUD Stay Pädaste is undoubtedly, in our eyes, the best holiday house on Muhu Island. While this holiday house already offers a "forest spa" full package, we always consider what additional value the surrounding area can provide for each holiday house. Muhu Island has a lot to offer, and in this comfortable and harmonious atmosphere, it is definitely worth the trip to the island.
