Your Perfect Summer Vacation near Pärnu - KääraPesa aka PesadStay
Since there has been a void on our visit map in the Pärnumaa region, it was especially nice to have the opportunity to visit a particularly cozy holiday home right on the banks of the Pärnu River.
KääraPesa aka PesadStay is a new luxury accommodation for two, where you can enjoy a sauna, a terrace with a grill and sun loungers, a bonfire site, a hot tub, a bridge for jumping into the river, and SUP boards for an exciting journey along the steaming Pärnu River on a summer evening or early morning. What more could you want from a summer vacation in Estonia?
KääraPesa is located 111km from Tallinn and only 48km from Pärnu, making it a particularly pleasant destination for those who want to go to lively Pärnu for a vacation and adventure but retreat to their own private riverside oasis in the evening, where complete privacy and birdsong await.
Upon arrival, you can park your car in a small parking lot located a short distance from the house. This short forest side walk towards the house serves as an introduction to your vacation, allowing you to leave behind your everyday thoughts and switch to relaxation mode. To make carrying your luggage easier, there is a small cart available in the parking lot for convenient transportation.
KääraPesa holiday home is designed for two people, featuring a large bed with a view of nature where you can certainly see storks and horses walking by the window.
There is also a kitchenette with all the essential amenities available - a refrigerator, stove, kettle, and on the terrace, there is a large grill, which is definitely the main cooking spot for every visitor.
In addition, there is a spacious shower room at KääraPesa, where you will find everything you need - comfortable bathrobes, towels, and a hairdryer.
On the outdoor terrace, there is a seating area with the aforementioned grill, and to the right is an electric-heated sauna, which also offers a beautiful view of nature.
From the terrace, a wooden boardwalk leads to the bonfire site, where you can lie down and sip some wine at the end of the day. But before that, it is worth moving further to the riverbank, which is definitely our favorite part of this holiday home.
A spacious terrace awaits you by the river, with a table and two chairs, as well as a hot tub, where you can take a refreshing dip in the Pärnu River. To facilitate this, a comfortable pontoon bridge with a ladder has recently been completed.
From the riverside terrace, you will also find two SUP boards, which will surely make every summer stop particularly memorable - go along the Pärnu River, where you will be greeted by furry cows on the opposite bank.
KääraPesa also has badminton rackets and board games available - a commendation to the hosts for thinking of everything in any weather conditions.
What to do nearby?
To begin with, we encourage you to explore the local riverside nature - there are several bridges nearby that offer very beautiful views. We also decided to visit Tori Hell , which neither of us had visited before and it turned out to be a very nice little discovery adventure. Tori Hell is only 20km away from KääraPesa and is conveniently located along the way if you are traveling to Pärnu.
Ben always wonders why there are hardly ever any other people in our destinations - it's considered a complete luxury that Estonians themselves have yet to grasp :)
And as the evening arrives, it's time to relax in the hot, steamy hot tub by the river, a complete bliss...
If you are planning your summer vacation in Pärnu county, KääraPesa is definitely our first recommendation! In Käärapesa, you will find opportunities for active recreation, cozy sauna sessions, and simply complete peace and quiet, which is where we truly rejuvenate the best :) As you can see from the pictures, the weather during our vacation was very changeable, but it didn't bother us at all because Käärapesa was comfortable in all weather conditions 🌲
